Graduates earn 37 degrees from Selma University

About 32.4 percent of the 37 degrees and certificates handed out by Selma University in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Selma conferred 12 associate's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in nursing assistant/aide and patient care assistant/aide. Data shows the school gave out 12 associate's degrees in nursing assistant/aide and patient care assistant/aide, followed by 7 bachelor's degrees in physical education teaching and coaching and 5 bachelor's degrees in "other" pastoral counseling and specialized ministries.
