Designated by Congress in the 1980’s this industry contributes $150 million plus to our State’s economy and ranks second in the nation in catfish production. The Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Information acknowledges Chamber Member Pearce Catfish Farms for their contributions to one of America’s largest aquaculture products.
Founded in 1970 Pearce Catfish Farm, Inc. a family owned business, currently raises over 11 million pounds of fish per year in 1381 acres of water.
