Robert C. Hatch High School issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.

LaKeidra Love is humbled and honored to be named as Employee of the Week. She would like to offer her sincerest gratitude for being recognized for her achievements as an administrator at Robert C. Hatch High School.

LaKeidra is the baby sister of the late DeAngelo Cain, auntie to Mya Cain and is the daughter of Eddie and Shirley Cain. She worked diligently while attending undergraduate school at Alabama State University; where she attained a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s in graduate school from Auburn University, and a Master’s in Instructional Leadership from The University of West Alabama. After serving many years in education, she is now embarking upon a new journey as the Assistant Principal of Robert C. Hatch High School. LaKeidra is eternally grateful to be a part of the Bobcat Family. Mrs. Love is also happily married to her husband and best friend, Maurice. Together they are raising three beautiful children Ethan, Hannah, and Caleb Love.

Being an educator has always been her passion and a calling accepted at a very early age. Her desire to educate was awakened early on in life with the help of equally passionate and dedicated educational leaders. She has decided to help lead with that same passion and continue to make a difference in the lives of young learners. As she has often explained to her students, education is the key to the future and with it you can unlock many closed doors. LaKeidra plans to continue to motivate, inspire, and encourage her students to continue gaining knowledge, and never stop opening those doors.
