Judson College issued the following announcement on Dec. 29.
Judson President W. Mark Tew announced that, thanks to the generosity of Judson’s supporters, the December 31, 2020, fundraising goal of $500,000 has been met. As of the close of business Dec. 28, 2020, alumnae and friends of the college have given $527,665.36 to this effort.
The College also is soliciting unrestricted commitments for an additional $1 million in cash donations to be contributed between January 1 and May 31, 2021. As of the close of business Dec. 28, 2020, alumnae and friends have pledged to give an additional $584,065.25 before May 31. Cash donations received from this date forward will be applied to the $1 million amount.
The Judson College Board of Trustees will convene Dec. 31 to make a final determination regarding the spring 2021 semester.
For continued progress toward the combined goal of $1.5 million, the College is exceedingly grateful to her friends and to the Judson women who have contributed their talents, time, creativity, and resources to continue to make possible the extraordinary education that Judson offers for young women. We are so grateful to our students and alumnae who have rallied to this cause to keep Judson moving on the path forward to security and growth.
