Census Bureau: More women than men in York city in 2019

Of the 2,529 people living in York city in 2019, 51.1 percent (1,293) were women and 48.9 percent (1,236) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the WC Alabama News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 811-to-743. In the 65 and over age range, there were 249 females and 127 males.
