15 businesses registered in two cities found within Perry County during Q3 2022

There were 15 businesses that registered in cities within Perry County during the third quarter of 2022, according to the Alabama Secretary of State.

This is 35 percent less than the quarter before, when 23 businesses were registered.

Marion registered the most businesses in Perry County.

More than 99 percent of Alabama's businesses are considered small, with more than 47 percent of Alabama's employees working for a small business, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

A Civic Economics study found $100 spent at a locally-owned business puts $47 back into the local economy while the total is just $13 for non-local businesses.
