Q3 2022: 14 businesses registered in cities found in Wilcox County

There were 14 businesses that registered in cities within Wilcox County during the third quarter of 2022, according to the Alabama Secretary of State.

This is seven percent less than the quarter before, when 15 businesses were registered.

Camden registered the most businesses in Wilcox County.

More than 99 percent of Alabama's businesses are considered small, with more than 47 percent of Alabama's employees working for a small business, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

A Civic Economics study found $100 spent at a locally-owned business puts $47 back into the local economy while the total is just $13 for non-local businesses.
