Bibb County Sheriff's Office deputies responding to the call of shots fired from a known drug location, took this getaway driver into custody and rescued dogs possibly used for fighting. The gunman shot several vehicles on Capitol Avenue, with one stray bullet going into a home. The driver was apprehended after he attempted to speed away upon seeing deputies, with the gunman in the backseat. The male in the backseat ran into a nearby house known for drug activity. Additional deputies arrived on the scene and the suspect was not found inside the house. Deputies located the weapon that was reported stolen out of Warner Robins. Additional weapons were located and deputies also found evidence of drug sales and possible dog fighting. Animal Control was called to remove the animals from the property. The dogs were in a room with unsanitary conditions and without water or food. The getaway driver refused to cooperate in the case. (PHOTO CREDIT: Cpl. George Witherspoon, BCSO H.E.A.T. Unit)
