Freezing Temperature Expected | Randolph County Alabama Emergency Management

4:25p:

The severe risk for our counties is effectively over for this afternoon, as the airmass over Pike and Barbour counties and points northward has been stabilized by an outflow boundary.

The focus now turns to the very cold temperatures expected over the next few mornings. We will see lows tonight in the low to mid 30s across the northern half of the area, and a Freeze Warning has been issued tonight for counties generally north and east of Birmingham.

Saturday night/Sunday morning looks considerably colder, with lows ranging from the mid 20s in northern areas to the mid 30s in southern areas. A Freeze Watch is currently in effect for nearly all of our counties at this time.

Steps should be taken to protect all sensitive plants and vegetation!
