76.3% of Wilcox County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 10,686 citizens living in Wilcox County in 2021, 76.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 8,156 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 3,818 were male, constituting 46.8%, and 4,338 were female, making up 53.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Wilcox County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 77.5%.
