6.1% of Choctaw County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Choctaw County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 294 people out of the 12,792 living in Choctaw County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Choctaw County has decreased compared to the 6.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Choctaw County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.4%.
